The estate produced three terrific Côtes du Rhône releases in 2018. the 2018 Côtes du Rhône Blanc Cheval Long, which is already in bottle, it comes all from vines around the estate in Gigondas and is a blend of Clairette, Grenache Blanc, and Marsanne. Since Gigondas doesn’t allow white wines, this is released as a Côtes du Rhône, similar to the Côtes du Rhône Blanc from Saint Cosme. It’s fresh, crisp and refreshing, with lots of citrus blossom, lime, and hints of minerality as well as medium-bodied richness and racy, yet integrated acidity. Drink it over the coming 3-4 years (it will keep longer.)
