Even better is the 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Cuvee Prestige (a 100-case blend of 60% Roussanne and the rest Bourboulenc, Clairette and Grenache Blanc). It is viscous, with lots of honeysuckle, white peach and marmalade notes offered in a fragrant, full-bodied, stunningly rich style. It can be compared to a great Batard-Montrachet from Burgundy.
