The vintage follows Tr\u00e9vallon\u2019s historic identity with an equal blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Syrah grown on exceptionally stony limestone and clay soils.<\/p>\n Following an extremely dry growing season, harvest began with Syrah on September 4 and finished with Cabernet Sauvignon on September 19. The grapes are hand harvested and fermented as whole clusters without destemming or inoculated yeasts. Ageing lasts more than two years in large foudres, with minimal racking, followed by traditional egg-white fining and bottling without filtration.
The 2023 combines Mediterranean character with remarkable freshness. Syrah contributes flesh, pepper and spice, while Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure, depth and length.
