Ch\u00e2teau de Beaucastel Ch\u00e2teauneuf-du-Pape 2017 is an outstanding vintage from one of the appellation\u2019s most iconic estates. Beaucastel is renowned for its attachment to the traditional grape varieties of Ch\u00e2teauneuf-du-Pape and particularly for the important role of Mourv\u00e8dre, which contributes depth, structure and remarkable ageing potential. The low-yielding 2017 vintage produced a concentrated and powerful wine while retaining the balance and complexity that define great Beaucastel. Awarded 95 points by Jeb Dunnuck, it combines dark fruit, Proven\u00e7al herbs, spice and savoury nuances within a full-bodied and structured palate. With several years of bottle age, the wine is now beginning to develop fascinating tertiary complexity while retaining plenty of fruit and structure for further ageing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":2799,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_et_pb_use_builder":"on","_et_pb_old_content":"Deep garnet-ruby colour. The palate is full-bodied, structured and deep, with generous dark fruit framed by ripe tannins that are gradually softening. Mediterranean herbs and savoury spice lead into a long, persistent and subtly mineral finish.
