Retasted by Jeb Dunnuck fifteen years after the vintage and awarded 97 points, the wine is now firmly within its prime drinking window. The generous character of 2007 comes through in an intense bouquet of sweet black raspberry, red plum, incense, herbes de Provence, leather and lavender. The palate is full-bodied, rich and opulent, supported by sweet, beautifully integrated tannins. Extended bottle ageing has brought additional complexity without diminishing the wine\u2019s remarkable depth and richness. Dunnuck considers it fully ready to drink while expecting it to continue evolving for another two decades.
