Domaine Chante Cigale
Domaine Chante Cigale is now one of the most important family estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It is now run by Alexandre Favier, who continues the tradition of the family winemakers.
The Domaine’s vineyards cover more than 40 hectares in the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation, spread over 45 parcels scattered throughout this exceptional terroir: the diversity of soils and grape varieties enables us to produce unique wines. The spirit of the estate is assured by Alexandre Favier and his team, who are responsible for every stage in the production of the estate’s wines.

Grape varieties: Grenache 65% Syrah 20% Mourvèdre 10% Cinsault 5%
Age of vines: between 50 and 90 years old
Terroir: Rounded pebbles, sandy, sandy-stony.
Destemming: 80% of the bunches are destemmed.
Yield: 30 hl per hectare
Ageing: 70% in vats, 30% in Burgundy barrels and foudres
