Clos Saint Jean
Organic Farming Estate
Edmond Tacussel founded the estate in 1900. He believes in the potential of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s terroir of rolled pebbles, and has made a name for himself among lovers of great reds. Described as an obvious choice by some of his neighbors thanks to his daring winemaking choices, he quickly won them over with the quality of his cuvées. From the very first years, the wines were exported, and little by little the critics were unanimous. The estate has been in the same family for 5 generations. Today, the grandsons of the estate’s founder have taken over the property.
The cuvées are sought-after and widely appreciated for their great complexity and excellent ageing potential.
