Domaine Chante Cigale

This family estate, which dates back to the 17th century, was taken over by André Brunel in 1971, who opted to eliminate the use of phytosanitary products and cover the entire vineyard with grass.

Today, Domaine André Brunel, more renowned internationally than in France, is a pillar of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape elite. Domaine Les Cailloux spans three distinct appellations: the main one, of course, is Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with 21 hectares of terroirs ranging from galets roulés to sables and clays. Then there’s Côtes du Rhône, with 40 hectares of vines planted on alluvial soils dominated by sandy-clay, and finally, Vin de Pays de Vaucluse, with 30 hectares of vines planted on river alluvial soils. The estate’s grape varieties are Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault for red wines, while Roussanne, Grenache blanc and Clairette are used for white wines.

Since 2012, Fabrice Brunel, André Brunel’s son, has joined the ranks of Domaine Les Cailloux, bringing a new dimension to this passionate lineage.
