The 2022 Générations Gaston-Philippe cuvée from Château La Gardine pays tribute to the family legacy with a rich, structured expression of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Made from 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 30% Mourvèdre, this wine is aged in new oak barrels to enhance its depth and aromatic profile. It offers a saturated ruby-purple color and an intense bouquet of ripe black raspberry, crushed pepper, exotic wood, graphite and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied, concentrated and pure, with velvety tannins and a long, precise finish. A wine to cellar.

The 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Des Générations Gaston-Philippe is a bigger, richer wine. Based on 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 30% Mourvèdre that was brought up in new barrels, it has a saturated ruby/purple hue as well as terrific aromatics of ripe black raspberries, ground pepper, spicy wood, graphite, and resinous Mediterranean herbs. This rich, medium to full-bodied, concentrated 2022 has terrific purity, plenty of structure, and outstanding length. It needs a solid 4-5 years of bottle age but should see its 20th birthday in fine form.
