Clos de Beauvenir 2006 is one of the finest white wines ever crafted by Château La Nerthe, a historic estate at the heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Sourced from a small walled vineyard beside the château, this rare cuvée blends Roussanne and Clairette from old vines rooted in limestone and rolled pebbles. The 2006 vintage, both generous and balanced, produced a wine of great depth and grace, now at full maturity after nearly two decades of evolution.

Why choose this wine:

Because it represents the timeless elegance of aged southern Rhône whites. Clos de Beauvenir 2006 reveals complex aromas of honey, roasted almonds, dried flowers and candied fruit. The palate is broad and silky, balanced by subtle freshness and a saline, persistent finish. This is a noble, contemplative wine, perfect with lobster, truffled poultry or creamy cheeses.

Deep golden color with amber reflections. The nose opens with honey, toasted brioche, almond and dried fruit. The palate shows texture, depth and balance, carried by delicate acidity. The finish is long and harmonious, blending richness and mineral finesse. A magnificent mature white from a legendary terroir.
