Châteauneuf-du-Pape Le Plateau Blanc 2023 reaches a new level. Bottled just before my visit, it's made from 70% Grenache Blanc and 30% Clairette, aged in new barrels. Its pale gold color precedes a sumptuous nose with aromas ofripe citrus, orange blossom, crushed stone and subtle hints of spice and menthol. On the palate, the woody breeding is perfectly integrated, offering an elegant, silky texture, with beautiful depth and a remarkable finish.
