Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Chateauneuf-du-Pape Les Hauts Lieux 2020

Châteauneuf du Pape Les Hauts-Lieux 2020 comes from a fresher, higher plot and contains a little more mourvèdre, giving this cuvée a firmer, more structured profile, especially in its youth. The bouquet is marked by superb red, blue and black fruits, as well as black licorice, liquid violet and peppery garrigue. The wine is full-bodied, with a lovely mid-palate, ripe tannins and a saline, almost bloody finish. It shows the more charming nature of the 2020 vintage.
