Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2022 du Jas des Papes embodies the elegance and finesse of the great wines of the Southern Rhône. From the Les Saumades vineyard, at the crossroads of saffron and red clay soils dotted with pebbles, this wine seduces with its authenticity and precision. The blend, dominated by Grenache (80%) and complemented by Syrah, is vinified and aged in old barrels for 12 months to preserve the purity of the fruit. Certified organic (Ecocert), this 2022 vintage combines depth, delicacy and freshness in a beautifully modern style.

Why choose this wine:

Because it aptly expresses the character of Châteauneuf-du-Pape through craftsmanship and respect for nature. The nose is open and refined, blossoming with ripe red fruits, notes of praline brioche, spices and leather. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and delicious, with a caressing texture, silky tannins and perfectly blended oak. Remarkably well-balanced, this wine is accessible today, but promises to evolve over the next 5 to 8 years.

Bright ruby color with garnet highlights. The nose opens with superb aromas of candied cherries, ripe raspberries and stewed red fruits, underlined by notes of chocolatey herbs, pepper, sweet spices, toasted brioche and leather. On the palate, Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2022 seduces with a supple, velvety attack, a silky texture and a harmonious freshness that balances the wine's power. Medium-bodied, well-structured, it reveals fine, elegant tannins and a long, delicious, perfectly blended finish, marked by the purity of the fruit and the quality of the ageing. A classic blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Cinsault, matured in a subtle mix of concrete vats, truncated-cone tanks and old barrels, guaranteeing remarkable balance and ageing potential of 8 to 10 years.
