This wine reveals intense aromas of ripe black fruits, spices, cocoa and licorice, with remarkable depth. On the palate, its tannic power is magnified by a velvety texture and beautiful freshness. Careful ageing adds complexity and superb ageing potential. Ideal with roasted meats, game or a dish in sauce, this is a great Châteauneuf-du-Pape to enjoy now or treasure for years to come. 🍷✨

As always, Châteauneuf-du-Pape Deus Ex Machina 2018 is a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Mourvèdre. The Grenache was aged exclusively in concrete tanks, while the Mourvèdre was aged in new barrels. This rich, fleshy vintage, with a full-bodied mid-palate, reveals a complex nose with aromas of dried meats, toasted spices, peppery garrigue, damp earth, blackcurrants and blackberries. It perfectly expresses the accessible, harmonious style of the vintage, while retaining power, richness and a long finish.
