Domaine Prieuré des Papes

Organic Farming Estate
To the north of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, in the Cabrières district, the Prieuré des Papes estate boasts 12 hectares of vines spread over sandy soils. The vineyards, which are certified organic, benefit from a gentle, unspoilt environment, giving the wines a delicate, refined texture. Aging is controlled and shapes the structure of the wines through the use of large wooden containers, concrete vats, eggs and wineglobes.

Grape varieties: Grenache 75% Syrah 15% Mourvèdre

Age of vines 60 years on average

Terroir : Sands

Destemming: 25% of bunches are destemmed.

Yield: 25 hl

Aging: 18 months in concrete vats, foudre and demi muids
