Domaine de la Confidence

At Domaine de la Confidence, it’s important to work towards sustainable viticulture, towards certified organic farming, and above all, towards thoughtful, living soil. The passion for vines began in 1889 with Antonin Cambe, a table grape grower. His daughter Paulette Cambe, a schoolteacher, married Lucien Piallat, who took over the vineyards. Lucien Piallat passed on his know-how to his son Bernard Piallat, who took the grapes to the cooperative winery, in addition to his job as a life and earth sciences teacher. In 2016, after completing a BTS in viticulture and oenology, Romain Piallat took over with the help of his father. He will expand the vineyard to 12 Hectares: a surface area that makes it possible to have a good follow-up and a daily presence.

The important thing is to be in the vineyard, to accompany it at every stage of its growth cycle, so that it can give its best. In 2018, Audrey Gagniere, his partner, left the offices of a government agency to take a work-study diploma in viticulture and cellaring at the Domaine de la Mordorée in Tavel. In 2021, they began making wine together. Domaine de la Confidence was born, with 2,000 bottles, the result of a shared passion.
