Château Mont-Redon Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2022 is the flagship wine of the estate, crafted from a precise blend of the three major terroirs of the appellation: rolled pebbles, safres, and limestone. Composed mainly of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, along with indigenous varieties, this vintage reveals an intense nose of black fruits, spices, and subtle toasted notes. On the palate, the balance is remarkable, combining depth, freshness, and elegant tannins. Thanks to a meticulous selection of the best vats and careful aging, this cuvée elegantly expresses the signature of Château Mont-Redon.

Why choose this wine:

Château Mont-Redon Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2022 is a great Rhône wine, perfect for lovers of deep and refined crus. Its harmonious structure and aromatic complexity make it an excellent pairing for braised meats, game, and aged cheeses. Awarded 94/100 by Bettane & Desseauve and 92-94/100 by Jeb Dunnuck, it can be enjoyed now after decanting while offering great aging potential for the coming decades.

The Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2022 features a deep ruby hue with plum highlights. Composed of 60% Grenache, 31% Syrah, and 8% Mourvèdre, with other varieties completing the blend, it was aged in a mix of new and old barrels as well as concrete vats. The nose reveals enticing aromas of black raspberry, Bing cherry, spiced garrigue, leather, and ground pepper, enhanced by a subtle hint of oak. On the palate, it offers medium to full-bodied richness, with a balance of concentration, elegance, and precision. This wine will develop greater complexity with 2 to 3 years of aging and can be enjoyed over the next 15 years or more. Jeb Dunnuck
