Clos du Caillou’s La Réserve 2004 is a mature Châteauneuf-du-Pape crafted from old Grenache and Mourvèdre vines planted in sandy soils. After nearly 20 years, it reveals evolved aromas of dried fruits, leather, sweet spice, tobacco, truffle, and garrigue. The palate is silky, with integrated tannins and a long, fresh, harmonious finish. A refined and soulful wine at its peak.

Why choose this wine:
In stark contrast, the 2004 Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve Le Clos du Caillou was open for business, with a perfumed, layered and balanced profile that was begging to be drunk. Made from 60% Grenache and 40% Mourvedre, it offers plenty of black raspberry, chocolate, spring flowers and spice, full-bodied richness, and a multi-dimensional, layered and seamless style. Drink it over the coming decade. Drink up over the next decade.
