The 2014 Châteauneuf du Pape Croix de Bois is another very good 2014. As always, this is a 100% Grenache wine from a site in the eastern part of the appellation, near the village of Bédarrides. Fully de-stemmed and aged 16 months in concrete, it offers the fruity, forward style expected of the cuvée, along with classic notes of Bing cherries, blackberries, spring flowers and a hint of leather.
