The crème de la crème of the vintage, Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée De Mon Aïeul 2022, is 100% Grenache fermented in whole bunches and aged mainly in demi-muids. It doesn't get more Provençal than this beauty, whose deeper ruby hue is followed by a nose of darker cherry, blackberry, olive tapenade, licorice and peppery garrigue. With medium- to full-bodied richness, the sunny, fragrant, complex style of the vintage, ample opulence and fatness, and soft, integrated tannins, this is a stunning, classic expression of a vintage to enjoy over the next 10-15 years. There is no Réserve Des Deux Frères in the vintage, as the team did not feel it was justified in the vintage.
