Rotem & Mounir Saouma Chateauneuf-du-Pape Arioso white 2021

Made entirely in demi-muids, Châteauneuf-du-Pape Arioso Blanc 2021 is without doubt one of the finest whites of the vintage, capable of rivaling a grand cru from Burgundy. It reveals aromas of orchard fruit and white peach, honeysuckle, toasted brioche and a minerality reminiscent of crushed rock. On the palate, this is a concentrated, medium- to full-bodied white wine of extreme elegance, taut, pure and perfectly controlled. It has superb tension and remarkable precision. We'd like to see more whites like this in the Southern Rhône. It will benefit from a year in bottle and can be kept for two decades.
