Inopia Blanc 2022 is one of the standout cuvées from Rotem & Mounir Saouma, crafted in the southern Rhône. The name “Inopia” means “scarcity,” a reference to the poor, stony clay soils from which the vines struggle yet thrive. Made from Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne, Bourboulenc and Marsanne, it undergoes gentle cold maceration and slow fermentation without pumping or stirring, followed by long aging on lees in large oak casks. The result is a refined, energetic wine of remarkable aromatic depth and mineral clarity.

Why choose this wine:

Because it perfectly represents the Saoumas’ philosophy of minimal intervention and maximum expression of terroir. Inopia Blanc 2022 combines generosity and precision, revealing aromas of ripe lemon, pear, white peach and flint. On the palate, it is layered and fresh, balanced by lively acidity and a saline finish. A white wine of finesse and tension, more reminiscent of northern Rhône whites than southern styles. Drink now or cellar for 5–8 years.

Bright golden hue. The nose displays ripe orchard fruits, citrus zest, smoky hints and floral notes. The palate is broad yet vibrant, showing excellent balance between fruit richness and mineral freshness. The long, elegant finish leaves a subtle touch of bitterness and saline lift.
