GACHA is a bold fusion of... Gamay and Chardonnay 🙂 This wine is made from 50% Gamay and 50% Chardonnay grapes from the southern Beaujolais region, grown according to biodynamic principles. The winemaking method includes a three-week semi-carbonic maceration, in which the Gamay and Chardonnay grapes are layered, followed by an infusion maceration, with no manipulations such as pumping over or punching down. It is then bottled without the addition of sulfur. After a year's ageing in enamelled vats, the result is surprising: a lively, easy-to-drink red wine, perfect for lovers of natural wines. Like her mentor Jean-François Ganevat, Maylis Bernard adopts a minimalist approach to winemaking. Our cuvées are bottled without fining, filtering or adding SO2, thus preserving the full expression and authenticity of the terroir.
