Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape La Crau 2007 boasts a deep blood-red color to match its decadent, ripe aromas. Licorice, hot stone, meat juices and roasted garrigue burst from the glass, and the fruit leans towards the spectrum of plum and raspberry liqueur. Magnificent on the palate, the wine is full-bodied and richly textured. It has plenty of ripe fruit, impeccable balance and a long, concentrated finish. Very approachable today (and I really enjoyed this bottle), it continues to flesh out with air, gaining both depth and richness. Given this estate's track record, I see no reason why this wine shouldn't be good to drink for 20+ years.
This is simply a stunning bottle of wine. Jeb Dunnuck
