Anne et Jean-François Ganevat Victor de La Combe 2021 is an exceptional Chardonnay, sourced from old vines in the Mâconnais, where fine, filtering limestone soils provide the wine with remarkable energy and deep minerality. Staying true to his philosophy, Jean-François Ganevat vinifies this cuvée without added yeast or sulfur, aging it in foudres for two years. The nose entices with notes of poached apple, pear, white peach, roasted mango, and sweet spices, enhanced by a touch of citrus and delicate toasted aromas reminiscent of pine nuts and sesame. On the palate, the wine is precise, lively, and electric, delivering a crisp freshness and pure expression, akin to frozen lemon or a mountain spring. The saline, mouthwatering finish extends the pleasure with a subtle fruitiness.
