Domaine de La Solitude Chateauneuf du Pape Barberini white 2025

Domaine de La Solitude Châteauneuf-du-Pape Barberini Blanc 2025 is an exceptionally limited white, with only 1,200 bottles produced. Certified organic and biodynamic by Demeter, it is composed of 90% Roussanne and 10% Grenache Blanc, with yields limited to 30 hectolitres per hectare. Following careful sorting, the grapes undergo gentle Champagne-style pneumatic pressing. The Roussanne is fermented at 20°C in new barrels, while the Grenache Blanc is fermented in tank. Ageing continues for ten months on fine lees with bâtonnage, using new barrels for the Roussanne and tanks for the Grenache Blanc. The wine then rests for a further six months in bottle before release. This meticulous approach produces a rich yet elegant white Châteauneuf-du-Pape, combining vine flowers, brioche and oriental pastry notes with citrus and vineyard peach. The generous texture is balanced by a long mineral finish, creating a rare and highly gastronomic Southern Rhône white.
