Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2024 is a classic expression of white Châteauneuf-du-Pape from the legendary stony plateau of La Crau. The blend combines 40% Clairette, 25% Grenache Blanc, 25% Roussanne and 10% Bourboulenc from vines averaging around 45 years of age. Fermentation takes place in barrels, demi-muids and 30-hectolitre foudres, followed by ageing on the lees. Awarded 95 points by Jeb Dunnuck, the 2024 reveals honeyed stone fruit, crushed minerals, white flowers, brioche and almond nuances. Medium to full-bodied, pure and focused, it combines impressive depth with freshness and elegance. Dunnuck recommends two to three years of bottle age and expects the wine to evolve beautifully through 2040.
Wine characteristics :
Why choose this wine:
Bright pale gold. The bouquet combines ripe stone fruit and pear with honeyed nuances, white flowers, brioche, crushed stone and a subtle almond note. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is pure, focused and elegant, balancing generous texture with freshness and mineral precision. The finish is long, refined and subtly saline, leaving lingering notes of white flowers, fruit, brioche and almond. A beautifully classic white Châteauneuf-du-Pape built to gain complexity with bottle age.
