La Sousto Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2025 offers a fresh, elegant and particularly appealing expression of the appellation’s great white wines.
The cuvée is based on the traditional white grape varieties of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, notably Grenache Blanc and Clairette, complemented depending on the vintage by Roussanne and Bourboulenc. Documented previous vintages show a blend built around these four varieties.
The La Sousto estate belongs to Vignobles Mousset-Barrot and benefits from a particularly diverse range of terroirs across Châteauneuf-du-Pape, combining limestone, rounded pebbles and clay.
The 2025 vintage follows a style focused above all on aromatic purity and balance. White fruit, citrus and floral notes bring immediate charm, while a more mineral and saline backbone adds length and freshness to the palate. The wine remains generous, as a Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc should be, but without any sense of heaviness.
A precise and approachable gastronomic white wine, equally enjoyable in its youth or after a few years of bottle ageing.

Why choose this wine:

La Sousto Blanc stands out for its balance between southern richness and freshness. Tastings of previous vintages confirm this identity: Decanter notably described the 2022 as floral, fresh, slightly saline and without excessive richness or alcohol, awarding it 93/100.
Grenache Blanc brings volume and texture, Clairette contributes freshness, while Roussanne and Bourboulenc add further complexity to the blend.
The 2025 is therefore a particularly versatile Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc at the table, ideal with fish, shellfish, scallops or poultry in a cream sauce.

The wine shows a pale, bright yellow color with subtle golden highlights. The nose opens with fresh pear, white peach and citrus, accompanied by white flowers and delicate Mediterranean nuances.
The palate is broad and supple on the attack, gradually gaining freshness and tension. White fruit and citrus are supported by a fine mineral character, with a light saline touch that adds depth and definition.
The finish is fresh, precise and persistent. An elegant and generous Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc that favors balance and finesse over sheer power.
