La Bastide Saint-Dominique Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2025 is a superb expression of southern Rhône white wines, combining generosity, freshness and finesse.
The 2025 vintage received 2 stars in the Guide Hachette des Vins 2027, a distinction corresponding to a “remarkable wine.” Only 5,000 bottles were produced, making this a relatively limited and sought-after cuvée.
The 2025 cuvée is composed of 40% Clairette Rose, 40% Grenache Blanc and 20% Roussanne. The vines are planted on small parcels of sandy soils and red clay, interspersed with rounded pebbles, particularly in the Pignan, Saint-Georges and Guigasse sectors.
The winemaking approach focuses on purity: direct pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation, followed by ageing in tank.
The result is a bright and particularly harmonious Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc. Williams pear, apricot and white flowers combine with delicate notes of hawthorn and anise.
The palate offers a lovely roundness, but above all a freshness and minerality that give the wine plenty of energy. The finish is airy, persistent and free from any sense of heaviness.
A white wine that already delivers a great deal of pleasure, while also possessing the depth and structure needed to evolve gracefully in bottle.

Why choose this wine:

La Bastide Saint-Dominique Blanc 2025 offers a beautiful balance between the generous character of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and a much fresher, more mineral expression. The absence of oak ageing allows the grape varieties and terroir to shine through directly.
Grenache Blanc brings volume and texture, Clairette Rose contributes freshness and finesse, while Roussanne adds aromatic complexity. Its 2-star distinction in the 2027 Guide Hachette further confirms the success of the vintage.
The Guide recommends a drinking window from 2026 to 2032, while the estate’s technical sheet indicates that the wine can evolve for up to around ten years, gradually developing more honeyed nuances.

The wine shows a pale gold color, bright and crystalline, with delicate silvery highlights. The nose opens with Williams pear and apricot, accompanied by hawthorn, white flowers and a subtle touch of anise.
The palate is pure and precise, with a lovely roundness immediately balanced by pronounced minerality and plenty of freshness. White and yellow fruits remain at the forefront, supported by a delicate and harmonious texture.
The finish is long, airy and refined, with a pleasant mineral sensation. An elegant and particularly well-balanced Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, best served at around 10–11°C.
