Domaine de Trévallon IGP Alpilles Blanc 2024 is one of Provence’s most distinctive and limited-production white wines. Barely two hectares are dedicated to white varieties, spread across around fifteen small parcels on the northern slopes of the Alpilles.
The 2024 is an unusual blend of 66% Marsanne, 10% Roussanne, 9% Grenache Blanc, 8% Chardonnay, 6% Clairette and 1% Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains. The grapes are hand harvested and directly pressed, with each parcel aged separately for twelve months in barrels and demi-muids before blending and bottling without filtration.
The result combines Mediterranean richness with remarkable freshness and mineral tension. Citrus and floral aromas lead into hawthorn, verbena, honey and subtle buttery nuances.
The palate is broad and generous yet beautifully energized by acidity and limestone-derived minerality, finishing vibrant, saline and mouthwatering. The estate notes that its white wines become particularly expressive after seven to ten years of bottle age, when their mineral depth and salinity become increasingly apparent.
Wine characteristics :
Why choose this wine:
Bright golden yellow with subtle green highlights. The bouquet opens with citrus and yellow fruit before revealing hawthorn, verbena, white flowers, honey and delicate buttery nuances. The palate is broad and creamy, with Marsanne providing generous texture and depth. This richness is balanced by vibrant tension and pronounced mineral character. The finish is long, energetic, saline and mouthwatering, leaving a remarkable impression of freshness and precision.
