Pignan Cinsault 2021 is an atypical, confidential cuvée produced by Rotem & Mounir Saouma in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Made from 100% old cinsaults planted on the sands of the Pignan locality, this wine offers a delicate, airy interpretation of the appellation. Floral aromas, fresh red fruits, fine spices, with a chiselled, almost Burgundian mouthfeel. Long, patient ageing, without new oak, respects the purity of the grape variety. A rare magnum for discerning wine lovers.

Why choose this wine:
the 2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Omnia is a similar Grenache-dominated blend sourced from multiple terroirs in the appellation. It has a crunchy, exotic style as well in its purple fruits, violets, spring flowers, and crushed rock-like aromas and flavors. I love its texture, it's beautifully balanced, has notable concentration, and is just a classic, impeccably made wine from this estate. Drink it over the coming decade or so.
