The Domaine de Panisse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Le Mas 2024 is a compelling wine from an estate acquired in 2020 by the Vacheron family, owners of the Clos du Caillou. Le Mas brings together the estate’s Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards into a single cuvée, offering a complete expression of this remarkable property and its diverse terroirs. The vineyards surround a historic 15th-century Provençal mas and include very old vines, some planted in 1924. Grenache provides fruit and finesse, Mourvèdre contributes depth and structure, Syrah brings spice, while old-vine Cinsault adds freshness. Rated 91-94 points by Jeb Dunnuck, the 2024 displays red, blue and dark fruits alongside pepper, rose, blood orange and savoury spice. Concentrated yet elegant, with ripe tannins and impressive purity, it beautifully combines the power of Châteauneuf-du-Pape with the finesse that has become a signature of the Vacheron family’s wines.
