The 2016 Château Rayas Châteauneuf-du-Pape Pignan Reserve is a stunning example of a unique terroir, and perhaps the equivalent of pure Rayas. It offers a spectacular bouquet of kirsch and raspberry liqueur, supported by lively aromas of garrigue, white pepper, undergrowth, crushed flowers and spice box. Absolutely captivating on the nose, with fantastic freshness and delineation, the wine is medium to full-bodied on the palate and impeccably constructed, showing a focused, nervous texture, lovely freshness and a clean, very long, structured finish.
