The 2012 ChĆ¢teau Rayas ChĆ¢teauneuf-du-Pape Pignan Reserve is a stunning example of a unique terroir, and perhaps the equivalent of pure Rayas. It offers a spectacular bouquet of kirsch and raspberry liqueur, underpinned by lively aromas of garrigue, white pepper, underbrush, crushed flowers and spice box. Absolutely captivating on the nose, with fantastic freshness and delineation, the wine is medium- to full-bodied on the palate and impeccably constructed, showing a focused, nervous texture, lovely freshness and a clean, very long, structured finish. A classic wine that couldn't come from anywhere else. It will be even better in 2 to 4 years and can be drunk for more than a decade. A magnificent wine not to be missed!
