Domaine Giraud M&F 2023 offers a fresh, approachable and fruit-driven expression of the estate. Named after Marie and François Giraud, it comes from vines planted on sandy soils just outside the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The 2023 is based on 50% Syrah, 40% Cinsault and 10% other varieties. Grapes are harvested by hand, approximately 80% destemmed, followed by three weeks of traditional maceration and ageing in concrete. Les 5 du Vin The emphasis is firmly on juicy fruit and freshness, with black cherry, sour cherry, black olive, myrtle and gentle spices. Fine tannins provide just enough structure while preserving the wine’s supple and immediately appealing character.

Why choose this wine:

M&F 2023 is an attractive introduction to Domaine Giraud in a more relaxed and immediately accessible style. Sandy soils, Syrah and Cinsault, hand harvesting and concrete ageing combine to produce a red focused on freshness, fruit and texture rather than extraction or oak. It is a versatile Southern Rhône red with genuine personality.

Bright cherry red in colour. The nose reveals black cherry and black olive alongside Mediterranean herbs and gentle spices. The palate is supple, juicy and fresh, with cherry and sour cherry fruit complemented by myrtle and subtle spice. Fine tannins add texture and structure without compromising the wine’s easy-drinking, fruit-driven character.
