The Domaine de Trévallon Red 2022 Mathusalem (6L) is an ultra-rare collector’s edition, with only 12 bottles produced worldwide. This monumental format elevates the iconic cuvée crafted from the limestone soils of the Alpilles, blending 50% Syrah and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. True to the philosophy of Eloi Dürrbach, it is made through natural vinification and aged slowly in large oak foudres and old barrels. In this large-format bottle, the wine will age gracefully, developing depth, harmony, and complexity over the decades.

Why choose this wine:

Because it’s a true collector’s piece, a timeless symbol of craftsmanship and rarity. The 2022 vintage shines with aromatic purity, freshness, and perfect balance. It reveals blackberry, cassis, spices, garrigue, tobacco, and graphite, framed by elegant tannins and remarkable depth. In this Mathusalem 6L, the aging potential is extraordinary — a wine destined for connoisseurs, cellars, and unforgettable moments.

Coteaux d'Aix en Provence Alpilles 2022 is a simply sensational wine, and I suspect the greatest vintage ever produced by this estate. Made from equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah and aged for two years in foudre, it still boasts a brilliant ruby/purple color and offers sensational notes of crème de cassis, tobacco leaf, olive tapenade and peppery herbs. Full-bodied richness, thrilling purity, seamless texture and breathtaking depth and richness, this tour de force from the south of France should continue to drink beautifully for another two decades.

Deep garnet color with violet hues. The bouquet opens with blackberry, cassis, herbs, spices, and smoky notes. On the palate, it is velvety yet precise, with fine-grained tannins, beautiful minerality, and a long, layered finish. A great wine built for the ages, with 20+ years of cellaring potential.
