Clos des Papes Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2018 magnum

Based on 50% Grenache, 40% Mourvèdre and the rest Syrah (as well as a few other authorized varieties), it offers a classic Châteauneuf du Pape nose, with aromas of warm red and black fruits, Provençal garrigue, ground pepper and saddle leather. Clos des Papes is medium to full-bodied, with bright tannins, perfect balance and a beautiful finish. Made in a style similar to the 1999, 2004 and perhaps a little of the 2006, it has a lovely elegance (again, reminiscent of a Burgundy grand cru) combined with great intensity and length...
