Domaine Pierre Usseglio et Fils Chateauneuf-du-Pape Reserve des Deux Freres 2020

Châteauneuf Du Pape Réserve Des Deux Frères 2020 is almost entirely Grenache, but includes a small parcel of very old Syrah vines from Serine de Charbonniere. Deep purple in color, this cuvée reveals a captivating nose of blackberries, cassis, spicy wood, graphite and ground pepper, among other Provencal nuances. Pure, full-bodied and perfectly balanced, it boasts building but perfectly ripe tannins, the vintage's more elegant, streamlined style, and an excellent finish. Magnificently crafted, it will benefit from a few years' bottle age and can be kept for 15 to 20 years. Jeb Dunnuck
