The 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape is exceptional, the usual blend of around 30% mourvèdre, 30% grenache, 10% syrah, 10% counoise, the rest being a mix of authorized grape varieties that has been aged in foudre. A great 2019 vintage, it has a bright ruby/purple hue and stunning aromas of blueberry, violet, peppery beef, leather and spring flowers. Medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced and elegant, with a hint of classic Beaucastel wild nuances, ripe, silky tannins and an excellent finish.
