The Châteauneuf Du Pape La Combe Des Fous 2020 is all finesse and elegance, probably due to the Cinsault and Vaccarese in the blend. With its deeper ruby/purple color, it offers an exotic perfume of red and blue fruits, smoked game, spring flowers and peppery herbs. Slightly fruitier than previous vintages at this stage, it is medium to full-bodied on the palate, with magnificent tannins, a layered, even mouthfeel and an excellent finish. This beauty already offers incredible pleasure, but it will evolve gracefully over the next 15 to 20 years. The blend is composed of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and the rest Vaccarese and Cinsault, aged mainly in vats.Jeb Dunnuck
