A plot selection from the lieu-dit of the same name, the Perrin family's 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape Les Chapouins spent five years in its cellars before being bottled. Grown on the classic pebble soil in the northern part of the appellation, this wine is a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. A mellow nose of ripe cherry, leather and spice leads the way, followed by a medium- to full-bodied, supple, ready-to-drink wine whose flavors range from black cherry and red plum to more savory nuances of leather, clove and allspice.
