Domaine de Montcalmes Terrasses du Larzac 2020

I've always loved the wines from this superb Languedoc estate, which produces some of the region's most seductive and free-flowing wines. The 2020 is no exception, with 60% Syrah and 20% Grenache and Mourvèdre. Its ruby-red color is followed by a sweet nose of kirsch liqueur, black cherry, peppery garrigue and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, round and impressively textured, with soft tannins, it's already hard to resist, but will roll on for more than a decade thanks to its impeccable balance and purity...
